Finding the Volume of a Fish Tank

I need an equation or equations to help me find out how many pounds of sand I will need to fill my fish tank and so I can determine how much it will cost me.

The tank measures 71 inches in length and 18 inches in width. I want to know how much sand I will need for a 3, 4, 5, and 6 inch base.

...and
Height of base (H) = 4 inches
Volume of the sand in the fish tank (V) = Length x Width x Height
= 71 x 18 x 4
= 5112 cubic inches
Case 3: 5 inch base of sand
Height of base (H) = 5 inches
Volume of the sand in the fish tank (V) = Length x Width x Height
= 71 x 18 x 5
= 6390 cubic inches
Case 4: 6 inch base of sand
Height of base (H) = 6 inches
Volume of the sand in the fish tank (V) = Length x Width x Height
= 71 x 18 x 6
= 7668 cubic ...
